Update 7/26/10

Junior Yacht Clubbers have set the pace for great energy and fun this summer.

Here's a list of some of the highlights plus 3 more events to look forward to!

Stick tag began on July 8th after family night. The curfew game is scheduled to end on July 29th and the non-curfew game will last until there is one person left (or Labor Day comes and ends all the fun).
The swim across the lake took place on July 12th. Twelve people began and finished the swim. Kristen Smith and Annie Lerew--Junior Yacht Club Coordinators--say that they don't remember that happening before. Come to Trophy Night if you swam this very cool event. 1994 was a good year for the swim, but to have all who started finish it is a first!

Upcoming Events

The canoe trip is scheduled for Monday Aug 16th and sign-up will be posted at the club.

There will be two Junior Yacht Club 'Help the Shoreline' work events. Sallie Foley will keep you posted about that!

Laura Wiggins is hosting a "Junior Event". It is scheduled for Monday, August 2 & will be a scavenger hunt of sorts. She will have the activity outside at the Club (not in the clubhouse since it's already booked for a Lunch & Learn & maybe Side Porch) from 4-7. The sign up sheet for this is growing & I hope she will have a successful outing.

We are planning a movie night! Probably a Tuesday night. Details to follow!
